Follow Mode and Remote Control
How does Gozo follow the golfer?
Gozo uses UWB-based follow technology to track and follow the golfer at a practical walking distance. The goal is simple: the caddy carries your bag and moves with you so you can focus on your walk, your next shot, and the pace of your round.
Can I control Gozo with a remote?
Yes. Gozo includes remote control so you can steer the caddy when follow mode is not the best option. This gives you a backup control method for tighter spaces, bridges, cart paths, turns, parking areas, or any situation where direct control is easier.
When should I use remote control instead of follow mode?
Use remote control when you are near other golfers, walking through narrow paths, crossing bridges, moving around the clubhouse, navigating tight turns, or approaching areas where you want more precise control. Follow mode is best for open course areas where the caddy has room to move safely behind you.
Do I have to use follow mode all the time?
No. Gozo is designed to give you more than one way to move around the course. You can use follow mode in open areas, remote control when you want precise steering, and cruise mode when you want the caddy to move steadily without active follow. This gives you flexibility for real-course conditions, including fairways, paths, tighter spaces, and transitions between holes.
What happens if follow mode loses connection?
If follow mode is interrupted or you need tighter control, use remote control or manually move the caddy when needed. Gozo is intended to give walking golfers practical control options instead of relying on one mode only.
Course Use, Slopes, Battery, and Portability
Does Gozo work on hills or slopes?
Gozo is designed for real-course mobility, including slopes and uneven course conditions. As with any electric golf caddy, golfers should use judgment on steep hills, wet grass, sharp turns, and side slopes. Use remote control when more precise steering is needed.
Can Gozo handle bumpy paths or uneven terrain?
Gozo is built for normal golf course conditions, including fairways, cart paths, and typical uneven areas on the course. For rougher ground, narrow paths, or crowded areas, remote control gives the golfer more control over speed and direction.
How long does the battery last?
Gozo's battery is engineered for up to 36 holes on a full charge. Actual battery life can vary depending on course terrain, slopes, temperature, bag weight, grass conditions, and how the caddy is used. Golfers should charge the battery fully before each round.
Can Gozo complete 18 holes?
Yes. Gozo is designed for a full walking round, and the battery is engineered for up to 36 holes on a full charge. Actual performance can vary by terrain, slope, temperature, bag weight, and use pattern.
Can you manually push Gozo if the battery runs out?
Yes. Gozo can be manually moved if needed. The caddy should still be handled carefully, especially on slopes or uneven ground.
Can Gozo fit in a car trunk?
Gozo is designed to fold for transport and storage. Fit will depend on the size and shape of your vehicle trunk, so buyers should check the folded dimensions against their vehicle space before purchase.
How heavy is Gozo?
Gozo weighs 31.4 lb (14.2 kg) without the battery, slightly heavier than a typical 24-pack of 500 mL bottled water. With the battery installed, it weighs approximately 36 lbs. It folds for transport and storage, but buyers should still consider the full lifting weight when loading it into a vehicle or moving it in and out of storage.
Can I use Gozo in the rain?
Gozo can handle normal outdoor golf conditions, including light drizzle, spray, or morning dew. Avoid heavy rain, deep puddles, standing water, or submerging the caddy or electrical components in water.

Common Usage Questions
How should I fold the caddy if it feels stuck?
If the caddy feels stuck while folding, do not force it. This usually means something is still engaged, under tension, or slightly misaligned.
First, stop and check the lock pin to make sure it is fully released. Then inspect the folding points, especially the bottom slider and side link bars, to see whether anything is jammed, bent, blocked, or out of alignment. Dirt or debris can sometimes restrict movement, so a quick visual check may help.
If nothing appears broken or obstructed, try folding the caddy again by placing one hand on the front bumper and the other on the handle. Pull slowly toward the bumper with steady, even pressure.
For step-by-step guidance, please refer to the folding video guide.
Why isn’t my remote control charging? Is it broken?
Not necessarily. Please charge the remote control using the Type-C charging cable and charger provided with the caddy.
Although many cellphone chargers use a Type-C port, they may have different voltage or power output. Using an incompatible charger may prevent the remote control from charging properly and could potentially damage it.
Why isn’t my caddy following me, and why does the remote keep vibrating?
The remote continuously communicates with the caddy. If the caddy is not following properly and the remote keeps vibrating, first make sure there are no objects blocking the signal between the remote and the caddy.
A low remote battery can also cause weak or unstable signal transmission. Before use, make sure the remote is sufficiently charged.
If the issue continues after checking the signal path and charging the remote, please contact our Toronto-based team for assistance.
Why did my caddy power off unexpectedly? Is it broken?
Not necessarily. To help save battery, the caddy will automatically power off if no mode is selected for 2 minutes after it is turned on.
However, the caddy should not normally power off during Lock Mode, Auto-Follow, Remote Control, or Cruise Mode. If it powers off during one of these modes and the reason is unclear, please contact our Toronto-based team for assistance.
